NikkÅ Ice Bucks
The Nikko Ice Bucks are an ice hockey team from Japanese Nikko playing in the Asia League Ice Hockey from the 2003/ 04 season.
History
Having been to 1999 a team from the Nikko region was active from 1925 to 1966, one of the founding members of the Japan Ice Hockey League was, this had to be terminated, however, because of financial problems, the team was before the 1999/00 season in the Japan Ice Hockey League refounded and renamed Nikko Ice Bucks. During her time in the JIHL they were each last and never reached the playoffs. Nevertheless, the Ice Bucks in 2003 were among the founding members of the Asia League Ice Hockey, in which they also initially twice missed the playoffs. In the 2006/07 season the team recorded the greatest success in its history by reaching the semi-finals of the alih.
