Nilu Phule

Nilu Phule ( Marathi: निळू फुले, Nilu Phule, born 1931 in Pune, Maharashtra, † July 13, 2009 ibid; actually Neelkanth Krushnaji Phule ) was an Indian theater director and actor and actor of the Maratha and the Hindi film.

Life

Nilu Phule began as a writer of plays and actors on amateur stages of the Maratha Tamasha Folk Art Theatre. His first professional stage play Katha Akalecha Kandyachi was 1965. During his stage career he played lead roles Vijay Tendulkars Sakharam Binder (1972) and Baby ( 1976), Jaywant Dalvis Suryasta (1978) and Shyam Manohars Premachi Goshta (1997).

His film debut was Nilu Phule 1968 Ek Gao Bara Bhangadi by Anant Mane. In the 1970s, he was one of the leading performers of the Maratha film. In addition to the well-known stage actor Shreeram Lagoo starred in V. Shantarams Pinjra (1972 ) - a remake of Sternberg's The Blue Angel (1930 ) - and in Jabbar Patel's Saamna (1975) and Sinhasan (1979). Phules role as a corrupt politician Hindurao Dhonde Patil in Saamna is considered his most important film role. In the 1980s, he appeared several times in the Hindi film in appearance, mostly in villain roles.

He died on 13 July 2009 of esophageal cancer.
