The new production plant in Uji should be determined, in particular for the production of commercial vehicles. So was the first built here the model Datsun Pickup which was determined in its first generation products manufactured here for export only. Already in 1960 the works were converted to new generations of models to bring to the market. Parallel to the new PickUp also the Datsun Caball was built in Uji now that rolled off the assembly line here as a bus.

After further investment, the works were expanded in 1963, and got more assembly lines. In this, the company had the Datsun Fairlady as well as the Nissan Echo final assembly. The Echo platform shared with the Caball. Mid-sixties, the revised version of the Fair Lady as well as the new generation of the PickUp came on the market. The Caball as well as the echo followed a year later. At the same time, the assembly of the Datsun Sunny was launched. Furthermore, it was introduced the new generation of the successful Fairlady Z in August 1978. Stylistically, this very oriented to the design of its predecessor. The Sunny has been set and now more fully the Violet. The export designations which have been retained. New, however, was the combination model. Also intended for the export of Datsun 180SX were as the Datsun 200SX identical, both of which are comparable with the Japanese Nissan Silvia. The Pickup Truck models and were reprinted as the last vehicles of the Seventy in October 1979. The production of the Patrol was meanwhile set a short time for a modernization of facilities.

From the eighties Nissan gradually separated from the brand name Datsun. The Violet appeared as the first Datsun model now under the Nissan label. Only for the PickUp, the company retained the brand name Datsun. The previously built as Caball bus had just replaced with a Nissan model. The following introduced the Nissan Atlas, but this time as a flatbed. The replacement for the Violet Wagon introduced the Nissan AD Van, the successor to the Stanza Wagon was provided by a same minivan, which itself heard in Japan in the name of Nissan Prairie.

The current model range of the company is yet to be dominated by the Nissan Patrol and Nissan PickUp. The successor of the Fairlady Z was abandoned because the assembly plant in Hiratsuka had to be closed for financial reasons in October 2000. Only nine years later, a new plant will be opened.
