Nissan S-Cargo
Nissan S- Cargo ( 1989)
The Nissan S -Cargo is a small MPV by the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan. The S -Cargo design was inspired by the Citroën 2CV Camionette; even including the steering wheel. The 2CV was relatively popular at that time in Japan. The technical characteristics of the S -Cargo are largely identical to the Nissan March or Micra.
The car was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1989 and made between 1989 and 1992 by the Pike Factory for Nissan. There were about 12,000 pieces. All S -Cargo are right hand drive. While they were initially offered only in Japan, it was later also gray imports.
The small mini-van has already achieved cult status, despite its unusual design, which is often compared to that of toy cars. McDonald's and KFC have used it as a mobile advertising space.
The S -Cargo was equipped with a four-cylinder engine with 1487 cm3 displacement and an output of 73 hp ( 54 kW). He had a 3- speed automatic transmission and air conditioning.
Optionally, there were also oval windows in the sides of the cargo space and an electric sunroof.
