Norman Macfarlane, Baron Macfarlane of Bearsden

Norman Somerville Macfarlane, Baron Macfarlane of Bearsden, of Bearsden in the District of Bearsden and Milngavie KT KT DL ( born March 5, 1926) is a British entrepreneur, manager and politician of the Conservative Party, since 1991 as a Life Peer Member of the House of Lords and now is a variety of features for the culture and art in Scotland and particularly Glasgow in particular.

Life

Entrepreneurs, managers and other commitment

After attending the High School of Glasgow Macfarlane joined the Royal Artillery in 1945 and served 1945-1947 in Palestine. House of Lords member and honors

Lord Macfarlane, who is since 2006 Freeman of Dumfries and Galloway and since 2007 of Glasgow, is also honorary patron of the football club FC Queen's Park, and since 2006 Honorary Life Member of the Scottish Football League. Finally, in 2005 he was awarded with the St. Mungo still Medal of Glasgow and in 2007 with the Goodman Award for Art and Business.
