North Acton tube station

North Acton is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Ealing. It lies on the boundary of Travelcard Zone 2 and Zone 3 on the Victoria Road. In the year 2011 there were 4.64 million passengers served by the Central Line station.

About six hundred meters to the west, the Central line branches into two branch routes to Ealing Broadway and West Ruislip. The station has a central platform and a side platform on the north side. Major companies such as The Carphone Warehouse Group and NEC have settled in the area, why the rush to a location outside the center station is relatively high.

The Great Western Railway ( GWR ) and the Great Central Railway opened in 1903, jointly established New North Main Line ( NNML ), the breakpoint North Acton followed in the following year. 1917 took a GWR branch line for freight traffic between North Acton and Ealing Broadway in operation. As of August 3, 1920, the Central London Railway trains sailed ( predecessor company of Central Line), this branch line, however, held only from November 5, 1923 in North Acton. A pedestrian bridge linking the station spatially separated parts together. After June 30, 1947, the Central Line was extended to West Ruislip, presented the GWR to operate its station at the NNML one.
