Northlane
North Lane is a Hardcore-Punk-/Metalcore-Band founded in 2009 from Sydney.
History
The group released Hollow Existence (2010), Discoveries (2011 ) and Singularity (2013 ) an EP and two albums. Singularity debuted at # 3 on the Australian charts and remained there for two weeks.
The group has toured with Structures and Texas in July by Canada. The band support for While She Sleeps and House was vs. Hurricane on the Australia - concert tour. The group also played on the 2013 Soundwave Festival.
In October 2013, the group toured for the first time as part of the Never Say Die! Tour of Europe. As headliner Emmure were confirmed. Also Carnifex, I Killed the Prom Queen, Betraying the Martyrs, Hundredth and Hand of Mercy played for the first time on this tour.
The group was nominated at the ARIA Music Awards in the category Best Hard Rock / Metal Album for Singularity. In addition, the album was nominated in the category Album of the Year at the J Awards. The radio station Triple J chose Singularity even album of the year. The Blunt Magazine Awards North Lane won an award as Artist of the Year.
From 19 January 2014 to 2 February 2014, the group as part of the Big Day Out will be touring in Australia. Mid-February, followed by the first headlining tour, the group by the United States before the end of February, the group will also tour as the opening act for Bring Me the Horizon and Of Mice & Men by the United States. Mid-March to early April, the group will tour together with Architects Europe. On April 19, 2014 North Lane plays on the Impericon Festival in Leipzig.
