Nullarbor-Nationalpark

The Nullarbor National Park is located in the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia and is 5781 km ². Through the park of Eyre Highway. The park is located 300 kilometers from Ceduna and ranges from Eucla to the Nullarbor Roadhouse along a rocky coast on the Eyre Highway. There is also a railway line that runs off the coast in the country along. The northern boundary of the park is the Nullarbor Regional Reserve and west of the park ends at the border of Western Australia and South Australia. The Nullarbor desert is home to a large population of Southern Haarnasenwombats that occur exclusively in the southern dry region of Australia.

The park is a vast, flat, dry plain with few shrubs and no trees. The climate is arid, which means that little water falls. The national park has a 200 km long coastline, which drops vertically 60 to 80 feet deep to the ocean. It is the Great Australian Bight, a 200- kilometer stretch of coastline with no natural harbor. At the Head of Bight can be observed in the winter and spring months, right whales, which calve in the bay and their young drag. There are further colonies of sea lions on the coast.
