NWE Nos. 6 and 7

The locomotives Nos. 6 and 7, later 99 610 series, is narrow gauge tank locomotives with the wheel arrangement C of the Nordhausen - Wernigerode Railway Company.

History

The two machines delivered to the Army Technical Testing Institute came 1917 ( hot steam ) and 1921 (wet steam ) to Nordhausen - Wernigerode Railway as No. 6 and 7 No. 7 did previously as loco 15 at the Nassau light railway service.

Until the 1980s, both machines were used by the German Reichsbahn, most recently in dolly traffic to Wernigerode. Through them, the locomotives also received the new numbers after the nationalization. Despite shutdown the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway both machines took over.

  • The locomotive 99 6101, formerly No. 6, is now the club " community of interest eV Harz narrow gauge railways " handed over for care. It is operable.
  • The locomotive 99 6102, formerly No. 7 to the "Friends Selketalbahn eV " is handed over to the care, today.
