Obermichelbach is located on a plateau between the valleys of Herzogenaurach in the north, the Regnitz the east and the Zenn in the south.

History

The parish Herzogenaurach in 1337 transferred 22 places the Holy Spirit Hospital Nuremberg, including Obermichelbach, Untermichelbach and Rothenberg. Michel Bach was first performed in 1370 in the land register of the castle county Nuremberg. In Salbuch the Office Cadolzburg 1414 the names of the subjects of the loan subject to viscount were called Nuremberg in Obermichelbach. In Salbuch the Office Cadolzburg 1464 Obermichelbach, Nydernmichelbach and Rotperg were called. In a description of Nuremberg and its surrounding areas in 1504 were also Obermichelbach, sub -Michel Bach, called to Rotenperg.
