Geography
Geographical location
The municipality is located on the Enz - Nagold plate 588-745 meters altitude, about every 6 km from the district town of Calw and Bad Love cell. More than 70 % of its territory is forested.

Community structure
The municipality of Upper Reichenbach include the former municipalities Igelsloch, Oberkollbach and Würzbach. For the former municipality Igelsloch include the village Igelsloch and the homestead Unterkollbach. For the former municipality Oberkollbach part of the village Oberkollbach. The municipality of Upper Reichenbach in the borders of 1973 include the village of Upper Reichenbach and the hamlet Siehdichfür. For the former municipality Würzbach include the village and the hamlet Würzbach Naislach. In Oberkollbach risen is the village Eberspiel, which was called 830 as Eberspuhl first time.
History
Originally belonged Upper Reichenbach Count of Calw. 1303 was the place to the monastery Hirsau and remained there as a bailiwick until the 18th century.
Spatial development of the municipal area
The leavened in Oberkollbach village Eberspiel was from 1835 to 1838 a separate municipality.
In the course of municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg 1974/75 the communities Oberkollbach and Igelsloch were incorporated into Upper Reichenbach on 1 December 1974. Today's church was established on 1 January 1975 by the union of Upper Reichenbach and Würzbach. In the former rural community Würzbach is the deserted village Oberwürzbach.

The municipality belongs to the upper Reichbach agreed administrative community Calw / Upper Reichenbach.

Coat of arms
Blazon: Divided by a lowered blue wave beams; top in gold ( yellow) four rooted green firs, bottom two rows of gold ( yellow ) and red geschacht (ten places). The four fir stand for the four districts and the Black Forest. The Chess of gold and red is the coat of arms reign Zavelstein.

Natural Monuments
Between Würzbach, Upper Reichenbach and Siehdichfür is the protected and protective forest area of Würzbacher Moores.
Structures
In Upper Reichenbach is the former nuclear shelter of the Baden- Württemberg government, which is used as a high security data center for IT failure prevention since 1994 by a staatsnah working private companies ( COMback GmbH).
Economy and infrastructure
Established businesses
In addition to the aforementioned COMback GmbH Elektro Gross is the only major company in Upper Reichenbach directly. There are also hair salons, restaurants and gas stations. Recently, a Bistro in Upper Reichenbach has opened. In the districts Oberkollbach and Würzbach also are several shops, including small department stores.
Education
A kindergarten to education for aspiring school children is right in town. A primary school is to be found in the district Würzbach. The construction of a Waldorf school for further education is planned.
