Geographical Location

The parish village lies in the Danube-Iller region in Mittelschwaben in the Valley of Roth, 25 km north of Memmingen and 35 km south-east of Ulm.

History

Oberroth was around 780 Rota. In the year 898 it was mentioned in an imperial document. The place belonged to the Bishopric of Augsburg. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803, he belongs to Bavaria.
