Geography

Geographical Location

The parish village lies in the Danube-Iller region in Mittelschwaben in the Valley of Roth, 30 km southeast of Ulm and 30 km north of Memmingen.

Community structure

The municipality of Mayrhofen is Matze.

History

Under Roth belonged to the Bishopric of Augsburg. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. Parts of sub- Roth belonged to the dominion Iller realms of Prince Schwarzenberg, who came to the Kingdom of Bavaria until 1806. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

The council has eight members, plus the Mayor. All 8 seats went to the village community (CDU ). (As at municipal election on March 3, 2002)

Economy and infrastructure

The municipal tax revenue in 1999 amounted to the equivalent of € 355 thousand, which were converted to T € 10 ( net) trade tax revenue.

Traffic

In sub- Roth, the State Road 2020 and County Road NU5 cross. The NU5 connects Under Roth with the A7 motorway - driveway Illertissen ( AS 124), about five miles northwest. The nearest airport is Memmingen Airport is about 30 kilometers south.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

In 1998 there were, according to official statistics in manufacturing and 140 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the work of 13 people.
