Oghuz languages
The Oghuz languages ( Turkish Oğuz dilleri / Oğuzca ) or Southwest Turkish are a branch of the Turkic languages . Today they comprise nine languages with up to 100 million native speakers.
Your most important present-day representatives are the Turkish, with around 60 million and the Azerbaijani language with about 30 million speakers.
Today oghusische Turkic languages are " West Oghusisch ", " East Oghusisch " and " South Oghusisch ". These include Turkic languages or dialects:
- West Oghusisch: Turkish
- Azerbaijani
- Gagauz
- East Oghusisch: Turkmen
- Khorasan Turkish
- South Oghusisch: Kaschgaisch
- Aynallu
- Afscharisch
Salarisch today to southeast Turkey group ( Uyghur ) is counted, but historically they evolved from the Oghuz branch of the Turkic language. Conversely, the Crimean Tatar developed from the Kipchak language group, but progressively closer to the Oghuz languages.
