Oldenburg S 3

The genus S 3 of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg State Railways (Series 13:18 the Deutsche Reichsbahn ) was built on the model of the Prussian S 3 and purchased for the route between Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg and Bremen. She was the first express train and the first locomotive with a steam dome in the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg State Railways. It replaced the old passenger train locomotives of Class P 4.

Six machines with the numbers 151-154, 160 and 161 were built between 1903 and 1904 by Hanomag. They differed in some technical details of the Prussian locomotives, but have not had the usual later in Oldenburg Lentz- valve control.

The German Reichsbahn took over all six locomotives with the number 13 1801-13 1806 and studied them until 1927.
