Oļegs Laizāns

Oļegs Laizāns ( born March 28, 1987 in Riga) is a Latvian footballer, who plays for the Yenisei Krasnoyarsk in Russia.

Career

Association

Oļegs Laizāns who began his career in his hometown at Skonto Riga should for the first time in the 2005 season in the top division of Latvian Virsliga are used and debut as a professional. The tall midfielder stayed for 7 seasons at discount under contract. With the club who won from 1992 to 2004 continuously the champion in Latvia jumped out only a runner-up in the debut season of 2005 for Laizāns. In the 2009/10 season on loan Laizāns played the Polish first division Lechia Gdańsk where he but only sporadically was used. In the second half of the season 2010 he played for cash discount from the second division Latvian FB Gulbene which he sometimes helped in seven games with four goals that this could rise for the first time in the club's history in the Virsliga. In the 2011 season he was at FK Ventspils under contract and could, together with Latvian champion Creates (in which he came as a regular player to 30 inserts season ) win the Latvian Cup. After the end of the season in Latvia Laizāns moved during the winter break 2011/12 to the Polish first division ŁKS Łódź who was at that time already in a relegation battle. For the club from the third largest city in Poland, he should come nine times in the second half of the Ekstraklasa 2011/12 for use, not avoid relegation at the end of the season, however. In July 2012, he signed a contract with Yenisey Krasnoyarsk from the Russian first division.

National

Oļegs Laizāns debuted for the Latvian national football team in August 2011 in the match against Finland, after he came in to replace Aleksandrs Fertovs. For the selection of his native country he came, since 2011, in qualifying matches for the European and World Championships for use. In 2012, he participated in Estonia with the team at the Baltic Cup. With two victories over Lithuania and Finland the overall title 21 of the Latvian national team could be won at this tournament.
