Olle Nordin

Olle Nordin ( born November 23, 1949 in Delary, Småland ) is a former Swedish international footballer, who currently works as a coach.

Career

Playing career

Nordin began playing football at Delary IF. About Älmhults IF, where he played from 1966 to 1969, he achieved his first professional station IFK Norrköping. After five seasons, he joined IFK Sundsvall. Here he remained for two years and went in January 1977 IFK Gothenburg. 1979 succeeded in winning the Svenska Cupen, a year later, he ended his active career.

Between 1970 and 1979 contributed Nordin 19 times the jersey of the Swedish national team. The country selection, he participated in the 1978 World Cup.

Coaching career

In 1982, Nordin his first engagement as a coach and supervised Västra Frölunda IF to 1984. In 1985 he went to Norway to train Vålerenga IF.

A year later, he finished the job there to take over the Swedish national team. These he led after twelve years of absence, to a major tournament, in qualifying the first place was even before England occupied. After the 1990 World Cup, where after three defeats, the last place was taken in the group stage, he was fired by the Swedish Association and initially replaced by Nils Andersson.

In 1991 he returned to Vålerenga IF. 1994 followed by an engagement at Lyn Oslo, before he went to Saudi Arabia in 1996. In 1997 he returned to the Allsvenskan and took over the coaching job at IFK Norrköping where he once played himself. Until 2000 he was in office and then went to AIK Solna. In 2002 he finished his work early due to health problems. After a pause, he was hired by Jönköping Södra IF he cared at the time.

Parallel to his work as a coach, he has worked for the Swedish television station Channel 5 as an expert.
