One Life to Live
Love, lies, passion ( Original title: One Life to Live) is an American soap opera which, 15 July 1968 celebrated its premiere in the U.S.. The last episode of the series on ABC was launched on 13 January 2012 at U.S. television. From 1968 to 2012 created over 11 thousand episodes. Early 2013, the series was fashioned from a television series into a web series and will be available as from 29 April 2013, The Online Network via Hulu and iTunes. The concept for the series comes from Agnes Nixon, who is also responsible for the daily soap All My Children, which is also based at ABC. It is one of the longest TV series in the world.
History
Love, lies, passion plays in the fictional town of Llanview, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, which is the district of Chestnut Hill modeled. Original was the action on the wealthy Lord family, and the middle-class families Riley and Wolek. The series was often described as " probably the strangest soap opera in the United States " because they grappled quite early with quite idiosyncratic characters and also with social problems did not hold. German broadcasts
In Germany they first aired from January to May 1989, ProSieben, until the series for the time being disappeared again. A second attempt, there was again from March to August 1990. Thereafter in 1992 were still reruns on cable to watch one before the series disappeared entirely from the German Free TV. In the few episodes that were broadcast, it was episodes from the 80s.

Background
The series made in the U.S. headlines when actress Andrea Evans, who played the Beast Tina Lord, was repeatedly harassed by a stalker. This finally broke even in the ABC Studios, with the plan to kill Evans. The actress herself spoke about it until years later and named this as the real reason why, after twelve years, the 1990 series - with a few years break - left. She retired after the time being completely out of the public back until they finally returned in 1999 assumed a major role in the daily soap Bold and the Beautiful. In June 2008 Andrea Evans returned to match the 40 -year anniversary of the show again to love, lies, passion back.
The series had some crossover with the other two successful ABC soaps All My Children and General Hospital. This is part of a series universe of All My Children, General Hospital, General Hospital: Night Shift, love, lies, passion, loving - way of love, Port Charles and The City.
In 2002, it succeeded in the series for the first - and only time - a Daytime Emmy Award for ' Best Drama Series ' to win.
