Orduña-Urduña

Orduna is a city in the province of Vizcaya in the Basque Country with 4246 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geography

Orduna is located on 293 m above sea level in the area enclosed by mountains Quelltal of Nervións. The highest mountain in the area is the Peña de Orduna ( 1,039 m).

The urban area establishes an exploiting dividend between Alava and Burgos exclave province of Vizcaya dar.

History

Orduna was first mentioned in writing in the 8th century at the time of Alfonso. In the same century it was conquered by the Moors and briefly ruled until he fell back to the Kingdom of Asturias in the course of the Reconquista.
