Orhaneli

Orhaneli is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Bursa. The town lies about 35 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Bursa.

The district is located in the south of the province. It is bordered on the west by Mustafakemalpasa, on the north by Nilüfer and Osmangazi, to the east by Keles, on the southeast by Harmancık and on the southwest by Büyükorhan. North of the county town flows the Orhaneli Çayı (also Kocasu ), the west leads further into the Aliova Çayı. The Orhaneli Çayı is dammed in the west of the county to the reservoir Orhaneli Çınarcık Baraji.

Former name of the place were Adırnas ( until 1928 ), Atranos and in the Byzantine period Adraneia or Adrianoi.
