Otročín

Otročín ( German Landek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers northeast of Marianske Lazne and Karlovy Vary belongs to Okres.

Geography

Otročín is located in the northwest of the Tepler highlands on the edge of the nature reserve PLA Slavkovský. The village is crossed by the brook brook Nadlucký. To the west, the Tisovský vrch (Hegel height, 740 m) and the Liščí raise vrch (711 m); south lie the Holý Kopec ( 690 m) and the Beranovsky výšina ( 735 m). To the north runs the valley of the creek Otročínský the railway line from Rakovníka after Bečov. The railway station " Otročín " is a mile outside the village.

Neighboring towns are Mechov and BRT in the north, Saddleback in the northeast, Poseč in the east, Prachomety, Kladruby and Klášterní Ovčín the southeast, Beranov, Teplá and Nova Farma in the south, Rankovice and Poutnov the southwest, Popovice and Bohuslav in the west and Tisova in the northwest.

History

At the end of the 12th century was located at the confluence of two streams on the road to Teplá a Slavic settlement site which is to be regarded as predecessors of the village. The first mention was in 1233, when around Otročín the Chapel of the Archangel Michael was born. At this time the village belonged to the pin Tepl.

After gold was found at the beginning of the 13th century in the streams, the pin pulled German Seifner in the area. The original Rundling was enlarged and grew into a series of village along the road. Since the place was located on the edge of the monastic rule, he was called Landeck.

1530 came Landeck to worldly owners. These were initially the masters of Pflugk. They were followed by the Lords of Plauen. 1612 bought back the pin Landeck and kept it until the abolition of patrimonial regimes.

1850 he produced the municipality Landek / Ostročín in the district Tepl. In 1920 the Czech name Otročín. 1930, Landek 729 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 the community was added to the German Reich; to 1945, the village belonged to the district Tepl. 1939 Landek 687 inhabitants. After the end of the war Otročín came back to Czechoslovakia and was filed in 1946 in the Okres Toužim. Since 1961 Otročín belongs to Okres Karlovy Vary. In 1961, the incorporation of BRT, Mechov, Poseč and Tisova.

The municipality consists of the villages Otročín BRT ( Pirten ) Mechov ( Mies ), Otročín ( Landek ) Poseč ( Poschitz ) and Tisova ( Tissau ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke.
