Ottawa International Animation Festival
The Ottawa International Animation Festival ( OIAF ) is a film festival for animated films in Ottawa.
History
The OIAF was founded in 1976 by the Canadian Film Institute. The festival first took place every two years. In 1997, in the years in which the IOAF did not take place, which was set up by OIAF International Student Animation Festival of Ottawa ( SAFO ) is organizing, which is aimed at students and young animators. Since 2005, the OIAF is organized annually. Since then, the categories of the SAFO are part of the OIAF.
