Pablo Aimar

Pablo César Aimar ( born November 3, 1979 in Río Cuarto, Córdoba, Argentina) is an Argentine footballer who currently is under contract with the Malaysian first division side Johor FC.

Career

Association

His footballing career started Aimar at CA River Plate. He joined during the 2000/ 01 season for a total of 21.25 million euros to FC Valencia in the Primera División. For Valencia he played until the 2005/06 season, the following season joined the Argentines for 10.2 million euros for Real Zaragoza. In Saragossa, he played two years before he moved to Benfica for a fee of 6.5 million euros in the Portuguese capital.

National team

Aimar has a total of 52 missions in the Argentine national team stand to book. He participated in the Confederations Cup in 2005, but lost his team the final against the South American rivals Brazil 1:4. He also took with Argentina at the Football World Cup 2006 in part and failed in the quarter-finals on penalties to Germany. At the World Cup Aimar came with three tool changes to any use in the starting XI and also sat in the deciding game on the bench. After he was no longer taken into account more than two years, he celebrated in October 2009 at the World Cup qualifier against Peru surprisingly his comeback in the national team.
