Pang Jiaying

Pang Jiaying (Ch :庞佳颖, Pang Jiaying, born January 6, 1985 in Shanghai) is a Chinese freestyle swimmer, who as a relay swimmer 4 × celebrated their greatest successes 200 meters freestyle.

Career

Pang Jiaying heard since the early 2000s, a world leader in freestyle swimming. With the World Swimming Championships 2003 in Barcelona, she won the bronze medal with the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay. Very good results they could achieve in 2004. In the Short Course World Championships in Indianapolis in 2004, she won though no medal, but was in four Endläufen. With the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay was Jiaying Fourth, about 200 meters freestyle Fifth, with the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay Sixth and Eighth in the 800 meters freestyle.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the Chinese launched three routes and reached apart from the 400 meter freestyle competition, where she was eliminated in the flow, the finales. About 200 meters freestyle she finished seventh, with the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay, she won the silver medal.

With the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay Jiaying won a medal, namely bronze also with the World Swimming Championships in 2005 in Montreal. With the season at the half as long distance they finished sixth.

Once again, silver in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay, she won the Short Course World Championships in Shanghai in 2006. With the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay, she was, as with the World Championships in Montreal, Sixth. Not quite as good was the World Swimming Championships in 2007 in Melbourne. Pang Jiaying started about four lines, but reached only with the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay the final run and finished in seventh place there.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in her hometown of Beijing Pang Jiaying went in all three seasons and two single lines at the start. First, they missed the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay in fourth medal scarce. She then reached the final of the 200 meters and won behind Federica Pellegrini there and Sara Isakovič the bronze medal and set a new Asian record. About 100 meters she was disqualified in the semifinals, they actually won, but was later disqualified for a false start. In her fourth race they went with the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay and won behind the Australians with their season Asia record time the silver medal. The last race of the competition was for them together with the Chinese 4 × 100 meter medley relay. Again, Jiaying was set up with their team -mates a new Asian record and won the bronze medal.
