Papyrus 124

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 124) 124 Papyrus is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. These are fragments of a papyrus manuscript of the second letter to the Corinthians.

Description

To date, only pieces of a leaf have survived. The remaining text of 2 Corinthians 11:1-4 and includes verses 6-9. The state is fragmentary. It has been described in a column with 14 rows. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 6th century.

The Greek text of this codex probably representative of the Alexandrian text-type. He was released in 2008 by J. David Thomas.

Storage

The manuscript is currently in the rooms of Papyrology of the Sackler Library in Oxford under the number P. Oxy. 4845 kept.
