Papyrus 21

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 21) Papyrus 21 is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Gospel of Matthew contains only the verses 12,24-26.32-33. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the early 3rd century.

Description

The manuscript was written in large uncial letters upright.

The Greek text of this codex probably represents the Western text-type. Aland placed it in Category III.

In Matthew 12.25 we find the text version ιδων δε (instead of ειδως δε ) in accordance with the Codex Bezae, b corrector of Codex Sinaiticus, 892 *, itd, syrc k, s copbo. In 12.32 the words missing αυτω ουτε.
