Papyrus 85

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel '85 ) Papyrus 85 is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript contains some parts of the Book of Revelation. The remaining text comprises the verses 9,19-10,2.5-9. Using palaeography he has been dated to the 4th or 5th century.

The Greek text of this codex probably representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Aland placed it in Category II because of his age.

The manuscript is in the Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire under the signature P. Gr. 1028 in Strasbourg.
