Paradise Oskar

Paradise Oskar ( born October 23, 1990 in Kirkkonummi; actually Axel Ehnström ) is a Finnish singer-songwriter. He represented his country at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf, reaching there the 21th Place.

Career

Beginning as a musician

Paradise Oskar was born in 1990 in the Helsinki region as Axel Ehnström. In choosing his stage name, he was inspired by Astrid Lindgren's children's book Rasmus and the Tramp (1956 ) inspired, in which an orphaned boy with the good-natured, accordion -playing tramp Paradise Oskar befriends. " I thought he [ Paradise Oskar ] led a great life, just walk around and make music for people. " Said Ehnström.

Without a professional musical education began Ehnström about ten years old first own tunes and lyrics down on paper. Since he mostly listened to English music, he writes his lyrics almost exclusively in English.

The song is about a little boy who sets out to save the world from environmental problems, he applied to the Euroviisut, the Finnish preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest (ESC).
