Paradox (German band)

Paradox is a German thrash metal band from Würzburg, Lower Franconia, which was founded in 1986, disbanded in 1991 and 1999 got together again.

History

Singer and guitarist Charly Steinhauer, and drummer Axel Blaha 've been since the early 1980s worked in various projects, with the band name, and the rest of cast still permanently changed. The group was called, inter alia Warhead too. In February 1986, it was decided then to found paradox. As a second guitarist Markus Spyth was added, while Roland Stahl played the bass. With a demo, the band reached a deal with Roadrunner Records. The song Pray to The Godz of Wrath of the demo was to be heard on the compilation Teutonic Invasion Part I. In 1987 a second demo called Mystery appeared. In May, the group went with producer Kalle Trapp ( Blind Guardian ) to the studio in order to record their first studio album under the name appeared Product of Imagination in October. The release was followed by concerts with Overkill, Drifter, Tankard and Target, as well as an appearance at the Dynamo Open Air in 1988. In the same year, the band went into the studio with producer Andy Classen, to record the album Collision Course, before it was released in May 2000 on AFM Records. On the album, a cover version of the song Scorpions Dynamite was included. On the Japanese version of the album, the songs also Pray to the Godz of Wrath, Paradox and execution were included as bonus tracks. In the same year, the band also took part in an ABBA tribute album from Nuclear Blast.
