Park Eun-chul

Park Eun- chul (born 18 January 1981) is a South Korean wrestler. Park was twice runner-up (2005 and 2007). It starts in the Greco-Roman style in the class up to 55kg.

The 2005 World Championships in Budapest was his first major tournament. However, he already had 17 at the Junior Asian Championship his first major tournament. 2000 and 2002, he participated in the World University Games ( 7th and 2nd) part. 2005 in Budapest, he made ​​his way through that tournament and reached the final against world junior champion Hamid Soryan Reihanpour, against whom he was a laggard, with 4:6.

At the World Cup a year later in Guangzhou, China, he moved back up into the semi-finals, where he lost but Rowschan Bairamov from Azerbaijan, who later lost the final Hamid Soryan Reihanpour. At the Asian Games in the same year he was defeated Masatoshi Toyota from Japan and was only ninth. At the 2007 World Championships in Azerbaijan, he defeated in the fourth round, Bairamov and later moved on to the final, but where he again lost to Hamid Sorjan Reihanpour.

  • 2006, 9th place, Asian Games in Doha, GR, to 55kg, after a defeat against Masatoshi Toyota ( Japan)
  • 2007 2nd place World Championships in Baku, GR, to 55kg, after beating Nasir Mankijew (Russia), Maher Boutouri (Tunisia ), Rövşən Bayramov and Hildar Hafizow, (Uzbekistan ) and a final defeat by Hamid Soryan Reihanpour
  • 2008, bronze medal, OS in Beijing, GR, to 55kg, after victories over other Myblom, Spencer Mango, Hamid Soryan Reihanpour and a defeat against Nasir Mankijew.
