Partizani Tirana

The FK Partizani Tirana is an Albanian football club from the capital Tirana.

Partizani Tirana has long been regarded as one of the most successful football club in the country: The club has to have both 15 league titles and cup wins and also won twice the Albanian Supercup. Currently, he plays after two climbs in a row back in the Premier League Kategoria Superiore.

History

The club was founded on 16 August 1946 was the time of the communist regime, like all sports clubs in Albania the state. Partizani was here subordinated to the Albanian army and was thus controlled by the Ministry of Defence. Therefore, it was usual to collect good players from other teams to the military so that they could play for Partizani.

Mid-1990 Partizani was privatized as the first Albanian team. However, had to be dragged before a court to clarify the ownership issue, and the club came as a result in economic problems. While it has been argued in court, the club ended up in the 1999/2000 season in last place and were relegated. Albert Xhani won the lawsuit and also took over the President role at the club.

2001 succeeded the championship in the second division and thus the direct re- ascent. By 2009, Partizani again played in the highest league. After the defeat against KS Kastrioti Kruja in the relegation game from the club was relegated to the Kategoria e Pare. 2011 had Partizani league last even in the Kategoria e Dyte dismount. However, they managed in the following season with the first place its chances of promotion and even managed the immediate walkover back to the first division.
