Action

Martha Marie / Marty Talridge parallel lives in New York City and in southern France. When she goes to sleep in one of their lives, she wakes up with full awareness of the events in the other world in the other life. In New York City she is a successful publisher, lone widow in southern France.

In both worlds Marie / Marty seeks advice from the psychiatrist. She tells the psychiatrists of the meetings with the other doctor.

In New York she met the literary agent Aaron Reilly know in which she falls in love. In southern France, she met the writer William Granther, with whom she starts a relationship. When she tells the men about each other's life and the other relationship, they are jealous.

To the end of the film, Marie / Talridge adopted in both worlds of the respective life partners and other people who are close to her.

Reviews

James Berardinelli called the film on ReelViews as "embarrassing " ( " embarrassingly ") and " bad". It would consolidate the status of the actress as a " former star of " final. Only the images from southern France and the skyline of Manhattan would be of interest in the film. Berardinelli advised, would rather watch the movie The Double Life of Veronique by Krzysztof Kieślowski.

Roger Ebert criticized in the Chicago Sun - Times on May 26, 2000, the structure of the film and the screenplay.
