Ronald Bass
Ronald Jay Bass ( born March 26, 1942 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film producer and award-winning screenwriter.
Biography
Bass began in the mid 1980s as a screenwriter for film productions and was the first time at Code Name: Emerald ( 1985), one formed after his novel The Emerald Illusion Film by Jonathan Sanger, involved.
His first major success as a writer he had with Rain Man (1988 ) by Barry Levinson, for which he received the Oscar for best original screenplay got together with Barry Morrow at the Oscar ceremony in 1989. In addition, he and Morrow was for the British Academy Film Award ( BAFTA ) for Best Original Screenplay (1990 ), the Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay (1989 ) and the Prize of the Writers Guild of America (WGA Award) for Best Original Screenplay (1989 ) nominated.
For the screenplay for The Joy Luck Club (1993 ) by Wayne Wang, he was served together with Amy Tan, the novel as a basis, 1995 was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. In some of these films, he also worked as a producer and was nominated along with Jerry Zucker at the Satellite Awards 1997 The wedding of my best friend for Best Movie ( Comedy / Musical).
