Paul Hâldan

Paul Haldane ( born April 12, 1965 in Craiova ) is a Romanian-born Dutch table tennis player with his best years in the 1980s and 1990s. He participated in the 1992 Olympic Games.

Career

Paul Haldane was six times the national Dutch champion in singles (1986-1990 and 1994) and twice in a double ( 1987, Henk van Spanje, 1988 Ron van Spanje ). From 1988 to 1994 he participated in five World Cups, and four European Championships, but never came here in the near medal ranks.

In 1992 he qualified for the individual competition at the Olympic Games in 1992., Where he was first in Group M victories against José María Pales (Spain ), Anton Suseno (Indonesia) and Mikael Appelgren (Sweden). In the main round he was defeated, however, the Chinese Ma Wenge.

Germany

For several years, Paul Haldane played in the 2nd Bundesliga. In 1985, he joined the Dutch club TTV Apeldoorn to FTG Frankfurt with which he was 1986 champion in the 2nd Bundesliga southwest. According to other stations Spårvägens GoIF Stockholm (1989) and again TTV Apeldoorn he joined in 1993 the Second Bundesliga 1 FC Bayreuth. Even with the men's team, he was champion in 1994 in the 2nd Bundesliga Süd. A year later he was hired by the TTC Altena, he helped the 1996 championship in the 2nd Bundesliga Nord. In 1996 he moved to Borussia Dortmund. Again, the team was 2004 First Men North in the 2nd Bundesliga.

2006 ended his career Paul Haldane.
