Paul Stagg Coakley

Paul Stagg Coakley ( born June 3, 1955 in Norfolk ) is an American priest and archbishop of Oklahoma City.

Life

The Bishop of Wichita, David Monas Maloney, consecrated him on April 8, 1982 Deacon and the Bishop of Wichita, Eugene John Gerber, ordained him a priest on 21 May 1983.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 21 October 2004 as Bishop of Salina.

The Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas, James Patrick Keleher, donated to him on 28 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Eugene John Gerber, Bishop Emeritus of Wichita, and George Kinzie Fitzsimons, retired bishop of Salina.

As a motto he chose Duc in Altum. On 16 December 2010 he was appointed Archbishop of Oklahoma City and introduced into the office on February 11 of next year.
