Stoddart has a considerable fortune, which he has achieved with low-cost airlines. In 2001, he appeared as a savior of the Italian racing team Minardi, where he was responsible for the further progress of the racing operation. He also promoted the career of his compatriot Mark Webber, of its entry into Formula 1 with Minardi managed.
