Paulo Vitor Barreto

Paulo Vitor Barreto de Souza (born 12 July 1985 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian football player who is under contract with FC Torino in Serie A.

Career

Paulo Vitor Barreto began his professional career in 2003 at the Serie B Club FBC Treviso. In his first season he reached the 15th place with the Venetians remained in seven games without scoring, however. In the following season, 2004/ 05 Barreto scored twelve goals in 25 games and finished in Serie B in fourth place with Treviso, which justified the play-offs for promotion to the Serie A. Treviso defeated in two games against Perugia Calcio clear, yet increased because of the bankruptcy of Perugia in Serie A, the Umbrians, however, were downgraded in the C series. Barreto left despite this success the club and joined in summer 2005 to Udinese Calcio. In Udine he belonged to the tribe squad, but could never prevail against competitors like Antonio Di Natale and Fabio Quagliarella. For the 2007 /08 season, the attacker went on loan back to the FBC Treviso. With 14 goals this season, he helped to reach Treviso relegation in Serie B.

On 14 July 2008, the AS Bari announced the loan of the attacker until the end of the season. Barreto proved to be a major gain for the Puglia. With 23 goals in 32 games (12 assists ) in the season 2008 /09 he was won the best scorers of AS Bari, also with 80 points was the championship series of the B and the rise of sovereign be ensured in the highest Italian league. Due to its impressive performance, the AS Bari extended the loan for another year. Also in the 2009/10 season Barreto was the best attacker of Puglia, scored 14 goals this season. After the descent of Puglia from Serie A in the summer of 2011 he moved to Udinese Calcio. There, however, Barreto could not prevail and completed in one and a half years, only eleven league games without scoring. This prompted him in January 2013 to move to the northern Italian city of Turin car, where he has played for the local FC.
