Pine Zystidenrindenpilz ( Peniophora pini )

The Zystidenrindenpilze ( Peniophora ) are a genus of flat -growing wood mushrooms from the family of Zystidenrindenpilzverwandten ( Peniophoraceae ) and belong to the Täublingsverwandtschaft.

The type species is the oak Zystidenrindenpilz ( Peniophora quercina ).

Features

Fruiting bodies on or perennial, spread out flat and completely the substrate via pulling or curled at the edges, smooth to warty, waxy to leathery, bright yellow to red-gray - purple - brown in different shades; Margin finely fringed and at least in young Frk sterile; Sporenpulver impression pale reddish.

Hyphentextur monomitisch, young hyphae thin-walled, hyaline under the microscope, with the naked eye, white or pale pink, older hyphae often brown with thickened walls, in most species, at least in the vicinity of the substrate; Zystiden always present as encrusted Metuloide or as Sulfozystiden; some species with Dendrohyphidien, basidia 4- sporig with Basalschnallen; Spores usually allantoid, in some species to elliptical, thin - and smooth-walled, inamyloid not cyanophil.

By most existing encrusted cystidia and spores inamyloiden the Zystidenrindenpilze can, among other things of the sometimes similar looking layer fungi ( Stereum spp.) differ.

Ecology

Zystidenrindenpilze live saprob as Holzzersetzer and produce a white rot. Many species such as The Pine Zystidenrindenpilz are substrate specific. Others, however, have a broad spectrum of food, such as meat Red Zystidenrindenpilz. Some members of the genus are parasitized by jitter Lingen.

Species

The genus is widespread and includes 62 species. In Europe, 34 species occur or are expected there.

Frequently the violet Oak Zystidenrindenpilz is ( P. quercina ); in the image associated with lichens.

The hornbeam Zystidenrindenpilz ( P. laeta ) forms Stemmleisten under the bark.

Typical of the ash Zystidenrindenpilz ( P. limitata ) are dark -rimmed fruit bodies.
