Per Günther

Per Günther ( born February 5, 1988 in Giessen, Hesse ) is a German professional basketball player.

The 1,84 m tall and 80 kilograms point guard played for the 2008/09 season at the Bundesliga ratiopharm ulm the National Basketball League. Gunther's hit rates - 49.8 % from the field and 80.1 % from the free throw line - impressed the Ulm coach Mike Taylor already at his former club, the Phoenix Hagen, which is why you wanted to sign him. Two years later, by " quick" Günther joined ratiopharm ulm and signed a three-year contract. Currently there he takes on the role of playmaker.

Günther took part in the European basketball championships with the U-16, U-18 and U-20 national team in the years 2004, 2006 and 2008, in part.

On 1 July 2009, the nomination was submitted to the A national team coach Dirk Bauer man. On September 1, 2009, he broke in a preseason game against Slovenia a metatarsal bone and fell for the European Championship in Poland. For the Basketball World Championship 2010 in Turkey by Guenther was appointed national coach Dirk Bauer man in the squad.

In April 2011, Per Günther decided, who had been appointed in his time at ratiopharm ulm twice in the Allstar team for a contract extension for a further two years in Ulm, whose team moved to 2011/ 12 in the ratiopharm arena. On 21 May 2013 were announced that Per Günther extended his contract at Ulm for another two years.
