2008–09 Basketball Bundesliga

The 2008/09 season is the 43rd season of the National Basketball League. The regular season began on September 20, 2008 and ended on May 9, 2009.

  • Master of the season 2008/ 09 were the EWE Baskets Oldenburg from.
  • Cup winners of the 2008/ 09 Alba Berlin was the final against Telekom Baskets Bonn.
  • Alba Berlin attracts permanently as the first Bundesliga club into a 10,000 -seat hall, the O2 World Berlin.
  • After the withdrawal of the Giants Nördlingen on July 9, 2009 LTi Giessen 46ers put a object to the Final Table. The Arbitration Court of basketball league rejected that from however.
  • The Köln 99ers basketball GmbH & Co. KG presented on 10 July 2009 to file for bankruptcy with the District Court of Cologne. On 17 July 2009 they declared the waiver of participation in the game operation for the 2009/10 season.
