Persquen

Persquen ( Breton: Persken ) is a commune with 323 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association Pays du Roi Morvan.

Geography

Persquen is in the northwest of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays du Roi Morvan.

Neighboring municipalities are Locmalo in the north and northeast, Bubry in the east and southeast, southwest, and Inguiniel in Lignol in the West.

The village itself lies off main thoroughfares to the D3/D23 of Rostrenen after baud. The most important regional road link D782 which connects the N124 with the N125 leads, a few kilometers north past the church.

The major bodies of water are the river and the streams Scorff Le Chapelain, Goah Mout and Saint -Vincent. Partial form these simultaneously, the municipal boundary. In the municipality there are also several more ponds. Large areas in the center and south of the municipal area is covered by forest.

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Bourlet (French Pays Pourlet ) and shares his story. Persquen belongs since 1793 to the canton Guémené -sur -Scorff.
