Peterculter

Peterculter is a suburb of the Scottish city of Aberdeen. He is about 13 km west of the city center on the northern bank of the Dee located. In 2001, Peterculter recorded 6662 inhabitants, together with the eastern Milltimber. For the year 2004 the population of Peterculter itself was estimated to be 4320.

The settlement developed around a Peterculter built in 1751 mill. In the 19th century Peterculter was a station on the Deeside Railway line of the Great North of Scotland Railway, which ran from Aberdeen to Ballater. The line was closed in 1966. The A93 runs through the village of Peterculter and closes on to the road network. The A90 is a few kilometers to the east. A few hundred meters to the east is a road bridge over the Dee.
