Petr Sedov

Pyotr Nikolayevich Sedov (Russian Пётр Николаевич Седов; born August 24, 1990 in Kremljow, Gorky Oblast, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union ) is a Russian cross-country skiers.

Life and career

His first international competition contested Sedov at the age of 17 years at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Spain Jaca. There, he won the German behind Tim Tscharnke silver medal in the 10 km freestyle. He also won the bronze in the 7.5 km classic. In the 2007 /08 season, he raced for the first time in Eastern Europe Cup, where he did well, taking ninth place in the Pursuit competition in Rybinsk. This season, he also had his first appearance at the Junior World Championships. In the Italian times he was behind Philip Marshall Junior Vice World Champion 20-kilometer freestyle ( mass start ) and won with the Russian relay gold medal. A year later he became one of the most successful athletes and won at the Junior World Championships 2009 in Praz de Lys Sommand the gold in the 10 km freestyle, 20 km classic and with the Russian squadron. This enabled him to use in the Cross Country World Cup.
