2010–11 FIS Cross-Country World Cup

The Cross Country World Cup 2010/11 was organized by the FIS competition series, which began on 20 November 2010 in Gällivare and ended on March 20, 2011 in Falun. The highlight of the season were the Nordic World Ski Championships from February 24 to March 8, 2011 in Oslo, where the cross-country skiing competitions were held at Holmenkollen.

For the fifth time the Tour de Ski was held within the framework of the World Cup, a stage race, for it instead of the usual 100 World Cup points are in case of victory 400. In addition, for the fourth time the World Cup Final took place, also a stage race, the winner receives 200 points.

Regulate

For all mass start competitions up to five intermediate scores will be discharged depending on the distance of the competition in which the first three athletes / athletes get awarded 15, 10 and 5 additional World Cup points.

In the sprint competition to host the B- finals will be deleted. The rankings are seven to twelve are awarded thus dependent on time / placement in the semi-final heats.

Like last year, which won at a stage of the Tour de Ski World Cup points an athlete / an athlete will also be awarded if he / she does not end the tour.
