Fulvio Scola

Fulvio Scola ( born December 10, 1982 in Agordo ) is an Italian cross country skier.

Career

His first international competition contested Fulvio Scola at the Nordic Junior World Championship 2001 in Karpacz Szklarska. There he reached the quarter- finals of the sprint competition and finished at the end of the 22th Place. A year later, in Schonach he improved this result, finishing in 13th place. After several assignments in cross-country skiing Continental Scola had on 7 December 2003 it produced its first use in the Cross Country World Cup. In Dobbiaco, he joined together with Valerio Theodule on in the team sprint. The duo finished in 14th place. The first bet in a single competition Scola had a week later in Val di Fiemme, where he was 38 missed qualifying for the finals in the sprint. This season, he continually improved his results in the Continental Cup and celebrated in Admont with third place in the sprint competition his first podium finish.

In 2005 he reached the final round of the sprint competition, where he won the bronze medal at the Universiade in Innsbruck. Two years later he was able to repeat this result in Pragelato. In the 2006/07 season Scola took part in the Tour de Ski. During the sprint in Asiago he was qualified for the finals and won his first World Cup as 20 points. He finished the tour at No. 46 at the World Cup in Otepaeae he surprised classic twelfth over 15 kilometers. In the 2008 /09 season Scola convinced with three victories in the Alpine Cup (formerly Continental ) which gives a secured qualification for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec. There he reached the semi-finals of the Sprint surprising competition and finished at the end of the eighth. In the team sprint, he was with Renato Pasini 13 He finished the season as runner-up in Opa- Cup with six points behind the winner Florian Kostner. After Scola could not prevail in the World Cup in the 2009/10 season, he started again mainly in the Alpine Cup. There he secured his three victories this season, again to second place in the overall standings. The breakthrough in the World Cup succeeded Scola in the season 2010/11. In Dusseldorf he reached the final, finishing behind Emil Jönsson surprising second place. Also in Davos, he reached the final run, finishing in fourth place.
