2006–07 FIS Cross-Country World Cup

The Cross Country World Cup 2006/ 07 began on 28 October 2006 in Dusseldorf and ended on 25 March 2007 in Falun. During the season, the Nordic World Ski Championships were held in Sapporo from February 22 to March 4, 2007. The first time was with the Tour de Ski, a stage race part of the Cross-Country World Cup.

The overall victory in the men went for the second time in a row to the German Tobias Angerer. Angerer, who was able to record four World Cup success this season, laid the foundation for a successful title defense by winning the Tour de Ski. At the end of the season he won superior with 661 points ahead of the Russians Alexander Legkow, who finished second behind Angerer also at the Tour de Ski. I secured the third place in the World Cup Rating Norwegian Eldar Rønning. The small crystal ball in the scoring of the distance races also went to Tobias Angerer. Second place in this rating was taken by the Frenchman Vincent Vittoz ahead of Norway's Odd - Bjørn Hjelmeset. The sprint races were dominated by the Norwegian athletes. The victory in the overall standings of the sprint race Jens Arne Svartedal secured ahead of his compatriot Trond Iversen. Third place was the Swede Emil Jönsson.

Also in the women's victory went to the World Cup overall standings, the winner of the Tour de Ski. In addition to the Tour de Ski Finland's Virpi Kuitunen won seven races of the season and secured the small crystal in the overall rankings of distance and sprint competitions. She also wins with a clear margin of 569 points, ahead of Norway's Marit Bjørgen. The third place in the World Cup overall went to the Czech Kateřina Neumannová. In the ranking of the distance contests the places went two and three Finnish to Kateřina Neumannová and Kuitunens wife Aino - Kaisa Saarinen country. The Slovenian Petra Majdič and the Russian Natalya Matwejewa completed the podium in the sprint competitions.

The victory in the national ranking for the eleventh time in a row Norway. The second and third place went to Germany and Russia. The ladies' competition was won by Finland competitions ahead of Norway and Germany. In the men the victory went to the Norwegian athletes. The second place went to Russia ahead of Germany.
