Kalle Lassila

Kalle Lassila (born 23 January 1985 in Veteli ) is a Finnish cross-country skiers.

Life and career

At the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Rovaniemi Lassila the qualifications of the sprint competition. In the finals he would, however, be content with the ninth. This season, he also had his first appearance in the Cross Country World Cup. In domestic Lahti he managed to qualify for the finals of the sprint competition and was able to collect World Cup points in his first race as a 29. In the season 2006/ 07 he managed in Otepaeae with eleventh place qualifying for the 2007 Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo. There he was able to confirm the result of Otepaeae and was also eleventh. With sixth place in the sprint in Kuusamo Lassila succeeded in the 2007/ 08 season, the final breakthrough in the advanced world class. At the end of the season he finished in 33rd place overall in the Sprint Cup. At the beginning of the season 2008/ 09 he won fourth place in the first sprint of the season in Kuusamo his best career result.
