2010–11 Tour de Ski

The Tour de Ski 2010/2011 ( Sponsors Name: Viessmann FIS Tour de Ski performance by Craft Sportswear) was an organized regularly in the context of cross-country skiing World Cup 2010/2011 stage race. It took place from 31 December 2010 to 9 January 2011, at four different locations in two countries instead. The venues were Oberhof ( in the DKB Ski-Arena Oberhof ), Oberstdorf ( in the Erdinger Arena ), Dobbiaco and Val di Fiemme.

Overall winner of the 2011 Tour were the Swiss Dario Cologna for men and Polish Justyna Kowalczyk in the women. During the tour, the women laid back a total distance of 60 kilometers, the men ran a total of 102 kilometers.

Venues and race

Germany Oberhof:

  • December 31: Prologue, free technology, single start, 2.5 km ( women) and 3.75 km (men).
  • January 1: persecution, classic, handicap Start *, 10 km ( women) and 15 km (men).

Germany Oberstdorf:

  • January 2: Sprint, classic, mass start, 1 km ( women and men).
  • January 3: Persecution, classic free technique, 5 5 km ( women) and 10 10 km (men).

Italy Toblach:

  • JANUARY 5: sprint free technique, mass start, 1 km ( women and men).
  • January 6: tracking, free technology, handicap Start *, 17 km ( women) and 36 km (men).

Italy Val di Fiemme:

  • January 8: distance races, classic, mass start, 10 km ( women) and 20 km (men).
  • January 9: mountain tracking, free technology, handicap Start *, 9 km ( women) and 10 km (men).

(* ) Handicap Start: This race will be started in the order of the current general classification, that is, the / the leader first. The start interval is derived from the difference of the total time between starters of all previously completed races.

Reporting

In 59 countries, including Germany, the ARD or ZDF and the sports channel Euro Sport took over the live broadcast of the Tour de Ski 2011. During ZDF moderated Yorck Polus (excluding experts), at ARD moderated Andrea Otto and the expert was Peter Schlick Rieder. Euro Sports relied on Stephane Franke and Viola Bauer as an expert.

The Swiss television broadcast the entire Tour de Ski 2011 live on SF two or SF info. Commented were the transfers of Peter Minder and Adriano Iseppi expert, the former head of Swiss Ski cross-country.
