Petro Balabuyev

Petro Wassyljowytsch Balabujew (Ukrainian Петро Васильович Балабуєв, scientific transliteration Petro Vasyl'ovyč Balabujev; born March 23, 1931 in Walujsk, Luhansk Oblast, † May 17, 2007 in Kiev, Ukraine) was a Ukrainian aircraft designer.

Life

Balabujew his doctorate in 1988 for " Doctor of Technical Sciences ". He was later Professor and Head of the Department of Aircraft Design at the University of Aeronautics and Astronautics " N. J. Zhukovsky " in Kharkiv. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and has over 20 key patents, particularly in relation to the aircraft An-22, An-74, An-124, An-225 pending.
