Petro Trad

Petro Trad (Arabic بيترو طراد, * 1886 in Beirut, † 1947) was a Lebanese politician Greek Orthodox faith. He was from July to September 1943 President of Lebanon.

Trad was completed in 1900 in Paris at the French University of Paris to study law and was a member of the Lebanese parliament since 1922. His predecessor as president of Lebanon, Ayub Thabit, came during his brief tenure in the power struggle between the Muslim and Christian parties and was deposed by the military government of Free France under Jean Helleu. As a moderate Christian politicians Trad was used from July 22 to September 21, 1943 to the holding of elections as president. From 1 August to 25 September 1943, he was also Prime Minister of Lebanon.

He was also dated 10 November 1934 to October 21, 1935, and 29 October 1937 to September 21, 1939 President of the Parliament.
